Kichenette - Plaza Indonesia

I Have visited this restaurant several times, so now I decide to write a review about it. It's the well-known Kichenette! It's one of the restaurants owned and managed by Ismaya Group, one of Indonesia's leading group in F&B business. Kichenette has been bustling and running in Jakarta for quite a while, and it already has several branches like in Central Park and Senayan City.

I'm going to talk about Kichenette Plaza Indonesia. Like any other Kichenette branches, it has open-kitchen concept which allow you to see clearly what they are doing in the kitchen. The ambiance is warm, with warm lighting and basically wood everywhere! wooden furniture, wooden sign, and etc. It was quite easy to spot this restaurant, it's located on ground floor next to bistro baron.

For this review, I would like to apologize for not mentioning the prices since i forgot to take the bill! (Duh?)

Claudette Crepes

 

Since my tummy is full already, I decided to order something sweet (as they say, there's always room for desserts). I chose Claudette crepes because in the description, the ingredients sounded simple and it was one of Kitchenette's specialties. The inside of the crepes is filled with drizzled caramel sauce. The outer of the crepes consists of grilled banana which I guessed is cooked with rum, chocolate sauce, more caramel sauce, maple syrup and vanilla ice cream. The dish was good, but the vanilla ice cream made it even better.

Chai Latte

Due to having sore throat, I decided to go with the hot beverages. They have several selections of premium tea (TWG, I assume), Illy Coffee, hot chocolate, etc. I ordered chai latte. At first, i thought it was pretty much the same with usual tea latte which only consists of tea and frothed milk. But, I was wrong. It has strong ginger flavor, and cinnamon aroma. In my opinion, the ginger flavor almost overpowers the tea itself which I couldn't quite taste the tea flavor and aroma. I didn't have serious problem with the ginger flavor since I like ginger flavored drinks. But if you don't like ginger flavored drinks, then maybe this drink won't suit your tastebud.

Strawberry Kiwi Elixir

I went there with my sissy (my all-time favorite companion). She decided to order the Strawberry Kiwi Elixir (love the name!). It's a soda based drink with strawberry syrup, kiwi syrup and kiwi and strawberry chunks (big ones). I was fond of this drink since it's so refreshing, especially when you drink it when the temperature outside is extremely hot. Love how they give generous amount of kiwi and strawberry chunks, even at the last sip you will not run out of the fruits. That's just how generous they are.

Overall, my trip to Kichenette never fail to make my tummy happy. I must give some appreciation to their service. They were so good with their service. The servers kept coming to my table at first to check whether I have placed my order. The manager approached me and asked about the dishes which I was having. And at the end, one of the servers approached me and ask why I didn't finish my dish. I was quite embarrassed (LOL). No, I didn't finish it because It wasn't good, but since I was in a hurry I couldn't finish the whole meal. Plus, my sissy mentioned about their super speedy WiFi. Surely I'll come back in the future :)
